Patriotism is love for your country. If you live in England today you might have wondered: where is the love in the people who call themselves patriots and use our national flags to promote hatred and violence?

Positive Patriotism means strengthening communities
Where is the love for our country in this?
This website was set up to promote positive patriotism, and to reclaim our national symbols, particularly the flag of St George, from the far-right. It will start with an ‘in-house’ blog and invite others, from widely differing backgrounds, to contribute. Coincidentally, as I was planning this website, I read that the Bishop of Kirkstall had spoken out on the same issues, using similar language. I would be very interested to hear from him.
Anyone, of any political persuasion except the far-right, may support the principles of positive patriotism. If that includes you, please help to spread the word by sharing these images incorporating the flag of St George, and wearing them on t-shirts, sweat-shirts etc, particularly on days of national celebration, such as St George's Day.
Once I have made progress on this site, I may set up a more interactive group on social media. But let’s start this journey here…
